Patient Services Back Office Associate

Overview

Supports patient services back-office operations by handling billing inquiries, account reviews, payments, claims, statements, collections, and demographic updates.

What you'll do

• Resolve patient and provider billing inquiries.
• Audit patient balances and escalate accounts requiring adjustments.
• Update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Rebill claims when reviewing collection accounts.
• Generate patient statements and monitor printing completion.
• Process payments through client payment portals.
• Review collection reports and prepare accounts for collection agency distribution.

What you'll need

• Safeguard protected health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Support department and company goals and policies as a team player.
• Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Cross-train on assigned team tasks for backup coverage.
• Escalate issues to the Patient Services Manager or Director.
