People & Culture Director

Overview

People & Culture Director for SmartBear’s India operations, combining hands-on HRBP partnership with ownership of statutory compliance across India-based employees.

What you'll do

• Partner with senior business leaders to align People & Culture strategies with organizational goals.
• Coach managers on performance management, employee development, organizational design, compensation, and employee relations.
• Analyze employee engagement survey results and develop action plans with leaders.
• Develop and implement talent retention strategies to improve employee experience.
• Serve as an advisor to influence leaders using data, business insight, and People & Culture expertise.
• Adapt enterprise-wide people programs to local legal and cultural context for India.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience in a senior People Partner or HR Business Partner role.
• Demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders on strategic People & Culture initiatives.
• Strong expertise in performance management, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness.
• Experience analyzing employee engagement data and translating insights into measurable action plans.
• Strong communication, coaching, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Required working knowledge of Indian labor law, statutory compliance, and HR regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model from Bengaluru office.
