Physical Design Engineer

Physical Design Engineer leading Broadcom’s physical design methodology and milestone flow to achieve Right-First-Time silicon.

What you'll do

• Integrate SoC physical design using top-down/bottom-up methods in 5nm and lower technologies.
• Execute P&R, extraction, physical verification, and work toward STA closure.
• Implement timing and functional ECOs.
• Maintain and adapt P&R, PV, STA, and ECO flows and build new automation as needed.
• Drive improvements in turnaround time (TAT) with better quality.
• Lead execution by example and understand execution requisites.

What you'll need

• Minimum 10+ years with MSEE/MSCS or 12+ years with BSEE/BSCS.
• Extensive experience in block-level and top-level layout including floor-planning and partitioning.
• Proficiency handling floorplan, partition, placement, CTS, and route stages for SoC TOP.
• Proficiency with EDA tools across P&R, PV, STA, and ECO.
• Proficiency in Tcl and Perl.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate across sites and time zones.
