PMIC Design Engineer

Overview

PMIC Design Engineer role in Qualcomm’s power management IC (PMIC) analog design team, involved in defining, designing, verifying, and testing mixed-signal circuits/products.

What you'll do

• Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation of mixed-signal PMIC circuits and/or products.
• Execute PMIC design and verification strategies for an assigned block with technical lead supervision.
• Run functionality checks on a single block to meet specifications with minimal guidance.
• Contribute to design activities from system definition/specification through circuit design, simulation, and post-silicon debug.
• Communicate complex technical information via written documents and oral meetings.
• Participate in layout oversight and silicon evaluation.

What you'll need

• Minimum education includes a bachelor’s (with 2+ years) OR master’s (with 1+ year) OR PhD in relevant fields.
• Experience required is 2+ years (bachelor’s path) in Hardware Engineering or related work.
• Uses tools including Cadence ADE and MathWorks MATLAB.
• Uses HDLs including Verilog/VerilogAMS and SystemVerilog.
• Has expertise in one or more disciplines such as power electronics, control theory, or analog front ends.
• Requires knowledge areas including very low power references and transistor reliability/electro-migration.
