Primary Design Engineer

Overview

Primary Design Engineer for primary design/engineering of substations with focus on GIS design deliverables and documentation.

What you'll do

• Participate in technical kick-off and handover meetings with the project manager and tendering team.
• Review customer specifications and compliance reports to meet customer requirements.
• Define milestone deliverables including base design, BOM, and detail design.
• Prepare Electrical and Gas SLD, Plan/Section drawings, and 3D modelling of HV GIS for substation configurations.
• Prepare guaranteed technical particulars and detail design tasks (rating plates, cable, earthing, civil requirements, as-built).
• Execute DtV process during the base design phase and support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 3-7 years of experience in primary design/engineering of substations, preferably GIS engineering.
• Knowledge of IEC/IEEE/IS standards.
• Hands-on experience with 3D tools including ProE/Creo and AutoCAD-3D.
• Hands-on experience with SAP system (MM module).
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
