Principal Presales Engineer, ISV HLS

Overview

Principal Presales Engineer on Twilio’s ISV team, partnering with sales to deliver technical wins and best product fit for customers.

What you’ll do

• Partner with Account Executives on pre-sales activities including qualification, demos, Proof-of-Concept, RFP, technical presentations, and enablement sessions.
• Lead the technical and product sale by recommending best-practice solutions and guiding customers on using Twilio’s APIs.
• Lead technical discovery to understand customer technical pains and present innovative solutions to address business challenges.
• Build and present interactive, complex customer product demonstrations for Twilio communications capabilities.
• Provide leadership and deal support within the Solutions Engineer organization for medium to large projects.
• Contribute to the Solutions Engineering community via knowledge sharing and creating reusable demonstration materials.

What you’ll need

• 8+ years of pre-sales experience selling complex, technical products, or 10+ years supporting technical products with customer-facing experience.
• Ability to communicate and present to gain audience confidence.
• Experience communicating complex topics to multiple audience levels.
• Previous software development experience or working knowledge in areas such as Telecom, SIP, Contact Center, or Security.
• Experience with sales methodologies.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Details

• Work mode is remote, with an ad-hoc requirement to report in person for team gatherings, off-sites, or customer meetings.
• Approximately 25% travel is anticipated.
• Not eligible for hire in CT, NJ, NY, WA, PA, or the surrounding areas of San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, or San Jose, CA.
