Process Design Engineer

Overview

The Specialty Operations Biodiesel and Renewable Diesel Process Design Engineer will deliver process design and engineering support for biodiesel and renewable diesel assets at Chevron ENGINE in Bengaluru.

What you'll do

• Develop and deliver process design basis/data and key process deliverables for biodiesel and renewable diesel facilities.
• Apply process engineering principles to design safe, reliable, and cost-effective processing systems for renewable fuels.
• Build and maintain steady-state and dynamic process simulation models for design, debottlenecking, and troubleshooting.
• Partner with Operations and Maintenance to align designs with site practices and lifecycle requirements.
• Support process safety activities including HAZOPs, design reviews, and risk assessments.
• Provide technical support during commissioning, startup, and early operations.
• Support MOC activities with technical documentation and engineering justification.

What you'll need

• 5–10 years of process engineering and process design experience in renewable fuels, petroleum refining, specialty chemicals, or related process industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering (or equivalent) from an appropriately accredited university.
• Proficiency with process simulation tools such as Pro II and/or Aspen HYSYS.
• Proficiency with iPRSM PSV/relief system calculations & database.

Details

• Work hours are aligned to business needs and are typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 1:30 PM–10:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Work is based in Bengaluru, India at Chevron ENGINE.
