What you'll do

• Provide and review complex, non-routine process safety engineering calculations and analyses for multiple teams.
• Support Management of Changes and brownfield projects/modifications, including regulatory compliance and design reviews.
• Perform hazard identification and risk assessment activities (e.g., HAZOPs, LOPAs, HAZIDs, What-Ifs, vulnerability studies).
• Ensure process safety-related assessments are carried out for control of work and barrier health.
• Support Operations by monitoring design/operating envelope excursions and keeping P&PS documentation up to date.
• Support regional QRA and Major Accident Risk revalidation and lead resolution of multi-discipline technical issues.

What you'll need

• 5 years of relevant experience in oil and gas/petrochemical/refining/chemical industry, with 2+ years in Production.
• Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Extensive technical understanding of process safety engineering.
• Understanding of process modelling tools.
• Good understanding of risk management, including risk barrier diagrams processes.
• Fluency in English (written and oral).
• Ability to engage with and influence senior leadership on technical matters.
