Product Configuration Engineer

Overview

Product Configuration Engineer responsible for designing and developing product models and drawings for mining products using design automation tools.

What you'll do

• Design and develop product models in Tacton Configurator Studio.
• Map product models using Tacton Design Automation for SolidWorks.
• Model and create detailing in SolidWorks.
• Analyse work content and estimate drafting hours needed with available inputs.
• Prepare 3D models and drawings based on the given product structure.
• Maintain and improve existing models and drawings from an automation perspective.
• Maintain BOM structure in ENOVIA and ensure spec compliance and error-free documentation.

What you'll need

• 6 to 8 years hands-on experience in part modelling, assembly, and drawings.
• SolidWorks mandatory experience.
• Hands-on experience with configurations and design tables.
• Hands-on experience in AutoCAD 2D drawings.
• Good knowledge of design automation tools.
• Good interpersonal skills and communication.
• Ability to estimate time and effort for a given task.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Tacton design automation.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks API.
• Good knowledge of machine design.
