Product Design Lead - Design System

Overview

Lead the creation and ownership of a scalable product design system, including component libraries and interaction models that stay consistent across multiple products and platforms.

What you'll do

• Own component libraries, interaction models, and cross-platform design consistency.
• Maintain high standards for layout, typography, colour, spacing, visual hierarchy, and digital finish.
• Design and maintain component architecture (e.g., buttons, inputs, cards, navigation, forms, tables).
• Define interaction and motion behaviors and state transitions for components.
• Manage design tokens to ensure consistency between design environments and code.
• Collaborate with engineering across Web, React, Flutter, Android, and iOS/Native app environments.
• Create documentation and governance guidelines for component usage.

What you'll need

• Extensive experience building and maintaining production-ready design systems.
• Deep understanding of platform constraints and guidelines across Web, iOS, and Android.
• Ability to demonstrate systems thinking via a portfolio showing cross-product impact.
• Strong familiarity with how developers inspect, build, and consume components in code repositories.
• Advanced Figma skills including libraries, auto-layout, components, variants, variables, and library publication.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards including WCAG, contrast, and inclusive design principles.
• Familiarity with component-driven frameworks (React, Flutter) and Atomic Design methodology.
