Overview
As a Product Manager Intern in Expedia Group's 2027 Global Summer Internship Program, you will support product discovery, definition, delivery, experimentation, and measurement under the guidance of experienced product managers.
What you'll do
- Support discovery, definition, and delivery of well-scoped product features and experiments under the guidance of more experienced product managers, focusing on clear customer and business outcomes.
- Translate customer, stakeholder, and market requirements into structured problem statements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, contributing to product backlogs and roadmaps.
- Partner with engineering, design, analytics, and other cross-functional teams to break down product ideas into incremental releases, clarify tradeoffs, and help ensure high-quality execution.
- Use data, metrics, and basic experimentation or A/B testing approaches to analyze product performance, validate hypotheses, and identify opportunities to improve customer experience and business impact.
- Contribute to low-level system and API discussions by articulating product and customer requirements, supporting data modeling and instrumentation needs that enable meaningful measurement and insights.
- Learn to work with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and apply AI/ML concepts to real world products, including how to safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions that improve customer outcomes and product decision quality.
What you'll need
- Must be graduating with an undergraduate or master’s degree in a technical subject, i.e. computer science, electrical engineering, information systems, etc., between December 2027 and July 2028.
- Must be available to commit to the full program dates: APAC: April/May 2027.
- Must be willing to relocate to the city of the job location if outside commuting distance.
- Must commit to 40 hours a week.
- Must be graduating from university in the same country as the internship location.
- Must have no more than 2 years of professional experience in a similar role.
Nice to have
- Helpful to have effective communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of partners, e.g., internal, external, technical, and non-technical people.
- Helpful to demonstrate knowledge of basic decision frameworks using the scientific method to understand a developed model.
- Helpful to have experience with customer discovery, MVP scoping, Agile product execution, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
