Product Support Engineer

Overview

Product Support Engineer providing technical support to developers and system administrators, including researching and resolving customer issues.

What you'll do

• Research, analyze, and resolve customer-reported issues.
• Isolate product areas driving support queries and work with the development team to fix them.
• Remotely assist with customer system setup, configuration, and administration.
• Consult with customers on proper machine configuration as part of Professional Services.
• Improve internal support processes over time.
• Provide periodic 24/7 on-call support coverage.

What you'll need

• Use active listening and customer empathy while researching and resolving problems.
• Close tickets in a timely manner and respond promptly to customers by telephone or email.
• Have 1-3 years of experience in a customer or internal software support position.
• Support role experience with design/development/test and troubleshooting for n-tier enterprise web applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred technical degree: 4-year in EE or CS.

Nice to have

• C# prior work at a hosting facility.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008, Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008, Microsoft .NET, and JavaScript/DHTML.
