Product Support Engineer

Overview

Product Support Engineer for Equifax’s Technical Fulfillment team, supporting a high-volume batch data delivery platform built on Google Cloud.

What you'll do

• Configure and execute data processing workflows per established procedures and client specifications.
• Deploy and manage complex data pipelines orchestrated via Apache Airflow.
• Monitor batch job execution, identify issues, and ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Run data quality checks and validation for processed information integrity.
• Diagnose and resolve configuration, scheduling, and dependency issues in GCP platform components.
• Adhere to data security and privacy protocols and relevant SDLC guidelines.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive problem-solving approach.
• Familiarity with data processing concepts and batch delivery systems.
• Experience working with configuration files (e.g., YAML).
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts, ideally with exposure to GCP.
• Familiarity with different file encoding formats.
• API tooling for testing and understanding data interfaces.

Nice to have

• On-call support for Production Incidents as needed.
• Experience with GCP services such as Dataflow, Composer, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.
• Familiarity with cloud monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Google Cloud Logging and Monitoring).
• Proficiency in scripting (Python) or object-oriented programming languages (Java).
