Production Engineer (Shale & Tight)

Overview

The Production Engineer (Shale & Tight) is part of the Production Engineering team within the Chevron ENGINE Center, focusing on reliability and efficiency for subsurface operations across shale and tight assets.

What you'll do

• Conduct reliability and risk assessments of subsurface equipment and processes.
• Use data analytics to monitor performance metrics and trends for reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with geoscientists, reservoir engineers, production engineers, and other stakeholders to develop reliability programs.
• Lead root cause analysis of subsurface equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for equipment design, maintenance practices, and operating procedures.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance reliability and performance.
• Ensure subsurface reliability activities comply with industry regulations and company standards.
• Prepare reports and presentations on reliability performance, trends, and improvement initiatives.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of subsurface equipment and technologies used in shale and tight formations.

Nice to have

• 5-10 years of experience in reliability engineering, reservoir engineering, or production engineering in oil and gas, focused on shale and tight oil and gas assets.
• Proficiency with reliability engineering tools/methodologies including FMEA, RCA, and reliability modeling software.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices for subsurface operations.

Details

• Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
• Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
