R&D Hardware Design Engineer

Overview

R&D Hardware Design Engineer to build high-performance networking hardware platforms within an R&D organization.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop advanced hardware platforms from component selection through schematic design, board bring-up, debugging, and validation.
• Work hands-on with complex high-speed digital designs to support performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to integrate hardware deliverables and move products from concept to production.
• Conduct feasibility studies, design margin analysis, and create validation planning for manufacturable designs.
• Execute empirical testing and root-cause analysis to meet quality and performance goals.

What you’ll need

• Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Needs 4 to 6 years of hands-on systems and hardware design experience including integrated circuits and complex electronic systems.
• Requires strong digital and analog circuit design foundation.
• Requires analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex system-level issues.
• Requires knowledge of high-speed design concepts including signal integrity and power distribution techniques.
• Requires practical experience measuring, testing, and characterizing high-speed digital signals.
• Requires board-level design experience using Cadence CAD tools such as OrCAD and Allegro.
• Requires proficiency in Python, Perl, and MATLAB.
