Overview
The Safety Engineer ensures Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) compliance across project sites and supports safe execution of building technology projects.
What you'll do
- Ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations, company policies, and client safety requirements.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
- Implement and monitor safety management systems and safe work practices across sites.
- Facilitate toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Monitor contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with approved safety procedures.
- Maintain EHS records, reports, permits, and statutory documentation.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Industrial Safety, EHS, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Safety/EHS management within relevant project areas.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
Nice to have
- Preferred certification in Industrial Safety, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent EHS qualification.
- Experience supporting CCTV, CFS, ACS, or IBMS/building automation projects.
