Sales Engineer

Overview

Sales Engineering role owning the technical path to close SMB and Midmarket customer accounts, working closely with Account Executives and Account Managers.

What you'll do

• Own the technical conversation across the sales cycle from discovery through proof of value and technical close.
• Deliver presentations and demonstrations for IT leaders, security teams, and business stakeholders.
• Partner with Account Executives/Account Managers to shape deal strategy and qualify opportunities.
• Lead technical discovery to understand customer environment, pain points, priorities, and success criteria.
• Manage proof-of-value engagements and maintain Salesforce opportunity and POV notes.
• Support RFP/RFI/tender responses with technical accuracy and commercial awareness.
• Coordinate technical handovers to delivery and customer success teams.

What you'll need

• Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Exposure to structured sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Sandler, Challenger, or similar.
• Hands-on technical knowledge in one or more cybersecurity domains (e.g., email security, DLP, endpoint protection, IAM).
• Familiarity with SaaS platforms and cloud-delivered security solutions.
• Strong presentation, demonstration, and written communication skills.
• Exposure to channel partners through joint demonstrations or partner enablement.
• Willingness to travel based on business needs.
