Sales Engineer - Mid-Market Southeast

Overview

Sales Engineer for Samsara’s mid-market customers, helping modernize essential industries by applying IoT solutions and technical expertise to drive and support deals.

What you'll do

• Develop understanding of IoT hardware and sensors for customer engagements.
• Support hands-on hardware installation strategies and deployment planning.
• Manage data collection over carrier networks and present cloud infrastructure.
• Build third-party system integrations using Samsara’s open API.
• Deliver deal-driving work products such as demos and proof of concept implementations.
• Act as a liaison between product and sales teams by translating technical feedback and enrolling customers in beta programs.
• Open the door to deeper account entrenchment through integration, upsell, and cross-sell.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s of Science degree from a 4-year accredited university.
• 2+ years experience working with customers in pre-sales, customer success, or customer/product support.
• Ability to influence stakeholders with technical sales acumen and understanding of business processes/change management.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Previous experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations.
• Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
• Experience with concepts including technical consulting, cloud software, cloud-connected hardware, computer networking, business systems integration, and automation/control systems.
