Salesforce Developer

Overview

Design, develop, and deliver complex Salesforce customizations, integrations, automations, and scalable applications for critical business functions. Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams, mentor junior developers, and drive continuous improvement in Salesforce development and deployment practices.

What you'll do

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex Salesforce solutions, including customizations, integrations, and automation workflows.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Business Analysts, product teams, and technical teams to interpret and refine requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop and implement Apex code, Visualforce pages, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and related artifacts following best practices.
• Conduct code reviews, unit testing, debugging, deployment planning, and release activities.
• Optimize Salesforce applications for performance, security, compliance, and data integrity.
• Support integrations with external systems while maintaining security and integrity standards.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and resolve technical problems.
• Document technical designs, configuration, and deployment processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, delivery cycles, and retrospectives.
• Mentor junior developers and team members on Salesforce development best practices and coding standards.
• Stay informed about Salesforce releases, new features, emerging best practices, and industry trends.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for development practices, automation, and deployment processes.

What you'll need

• Over five years of hands-on Salesforce development expertise.
• 7+ years of professional Salesforce development experience with demonstrated project delivery in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience designing complex customizations, automations, and integrations.
• Experience working within Agile environments and participating in sprint planning, reviews, and delivery cycles.
• Proficiency in Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL.
• Experience architecting scalable solutions with integrations via REST and SOAP APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Salesforce data modeling, security, sharing rules, sharing model, and platform best practices.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and setting up CI/CD pipelines using platforms like Jenkins, Gearset, or Salesforce DX.
• Proven understanding of business requirement analysis and translating requirements into technical specifications.
• Knowledge of Salesforce Lightning Experience and declarative customization options, including Process Builder, Workflow Rules, and Flows.
• Knowledge of Salesforce data modeling, security, APIs (REST and SOAP), and Data Loader.
• Experience with Salesforce DX, Visual Studio Code, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of security standards and compliance standards like PCI DSS and GDPR when relevant.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven ability to deliver complex Salesforce projects with both declarative and programmatic solutions.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for rapidly resolving technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Mentorship capabilities to guide junior team members.
• Ability to adapt to evolving technology landscapes and organizational priorities.
• Focus on quality, security, and performance to ensure the stability of delivered solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica, or other middleware integration tools.
• Exposure to large enterprise implementations, multi-org environments, and data migration.
• Familiarity with advanced Lightning Web Components development and design patterns.
• Knowledge of development lifecycle management, testing automation, and release management.
• Experience with Aura Components, JavaScript ES6+, Java, or other related languages.
• Experience with middleware tools such as MuleSoft and Dell Boomi or external integration platforms.
• Experience with Jenkins, Gearset, or similar release automation tools.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum practices.
• Industry experience in finance, healthcare, or large enterprise systems; equivalents from other sectors are acceptable.
• Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Platform Developer I & II.
