Senior Analyst - Procurement

Overview

Senior Analyst – Procurement role at Flex in India, responsible for processing purchase orders efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong stakeholder service.

What you'll do

• Issue purchase orders to vendors, follow up for order confirmation and coordinate on-time payment to suppliers
• Coordinate with vendors for actual delivery status of material
• Complete the Open Purchase Order Report and Shortage Report on time for review
• Execute core procurement processes efficiently and accurately for assigned products
• Meet or exceed desired service levels and inventory targets for assigned products, validated through procurement metrics
• Coordinate with internal business partners (requestors) and suppliers for purchase order changes
• Select suppliers for new orders in accordance with approved purchasing strategies
• Manage the supplier database
• Identify, recommend and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes
• Perform root cause analysis to expedite resolution of service issues
• Prepare customized reports for analyzing and incorporating process improvements
• Should we include shortage/excess escalation management, coordinate and follow through on urgent receipts, past dues management and receiving challenge resolution

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree or engineering graduate
• 3-5 years of procurement / supply chain experience (listed as preferred)
• Mandatory knowledge of computer software applications, MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication skills (mandatory)
• Good analytical skills
• Knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook

Nice to have

• Experience in procurement end to end
• Experience in order processing, supply chain management and order management
• Knowledge of ERP, preferably BAAN
• Experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably electronics
