Job description

Overview

Senior Specialist, Commercialization for the US market, driving the commercialization of utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects across Enfinity Global's US platform, based in the Hyderabad office and working as part of the Enfinity Americas team.

What you'll do

  • Lead preparation of complete RFP, RFI and bid packages for utilities, C&I and corporate offtakers, from bid/no-bid assessment through final submission.
  • Review solicitation documents to identify scope, eligibility and qualification criteria, submission requirements and deadlines, evaluation methodology and scoring, and key commercial, technical and contractual nuances.
  • Own the bid calendar and tracker across multiple concurrent solicitations, maintaining visibility on status, deadlines and open items.
  • Ensure every submission is compliant, accurate, internally approved and submitted on time.
  • Manage post-submission activity, including clarifications, shortlisting, best-and-final offers and handover to the negotiation team.
  • Act as primary point of contact with utilities, offtakers, RFP administrators and independent evaluators throughout the bid process.
  • Manage bidder registrations, Q&A and clarification requests, and portal submissions.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with counterparties and keep a clear record of all correspondence.
  • Coordinate inputs from Finance and Capital Formation, Legal, Engineering, Development and Permitting, and Construction and Procurement.
  • Run bid kick-offs, working sessions and approval meetings; track follow-ups and close loops.
  • Prepare clear, defensible bid summaries for internal approval, covering key terms, pricing, risks, mitigants and decision points.
  • Apply a working understanding of physical and virtual PPAs, tolling agreements, resource adequacy / capacity contracts and energy storage agreements.
  • Support Finance and Capital Formation in shaping pricing, contract term and risk-allocation positions in bid responses.
  • Review counterparty term sheets and PPA forms to flag key commercial and risk issues.
  • Monitor RFP and procurement activity across US regulated and deregulated / ISO-RTO power markets, and track policy, regulatory and pricing trends relevant to solar and BESS bids.
  • Maintain a pipeline of upcoming solicitations and assess their fit with the company's portfolio.
  • Standardize, automate and maintain bid templates, content libraries and standard documentation.
  • Leverage AI tools and automation to improve accuracy, consistency and speed of RFP review, proposal drafting, compliance checks and bid tracking.
  • Keep CRM and bid tracking tools accurate and up to date.
  • Capture lessons learned and win/loss feedback, and propose improvements to the bid process.

What you'll need

  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial roles in the renewable energy sector, such as bids, tenders, RFP management, offtake or business development.
  • Hands-on experience preparing and submitting RFPs/bids for solar PV and/or BESS projects.
  • Experience with solar PV and/or BESS technology, with a good understanding of how these projects work technically and commercially, including project economics and key commercial drivers.
  • Understanding of PPA and offtake structures.
  • Comfortable working closely with US-based teams and counterparties, on a schedule aligned with US business hours.
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Clear and concise communicator, written and verbal, with the ability to draft professional proposals and correspondence.
  • Honesty and integrity in all interactions, both internally and with counterparties.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Capacity to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and external partners.
  • High accountability mindset: takes ownership, follows through and closes loops.

Nice to have

  • Experience in the US market (ideal); experience with competitive tenders in the Indian market (e.g. SECI, NTPC, state utilities, C&I) is the next best fit.
  • Knowledge of US power markets (regulated and deregulated) is a strong plus; otherwise, a clear willingness and ability to learn quickly.
  • Deeper experience in PPA structuring or negotiation will be highly valued.
  • Working knowledge of PVsyst, CRM tools or Power BI.
  • Proactive attitude: anticipates issues and acts before being asked.
  • Curious and comfortable using AI tools to work smarter, and keen to find new ways of doing things.

Details

  • Location: Hyderabad office, India.
  • Working schedule aligned with US business hours.
