Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Overview

Design power transformers as part of an international electrical design and engineering team supporting tender, quotation, manufacturing, and customer documentation activities.

What you'll do

• Influence technical specifications during tender and pre-tender discussions.
• Prepare electrical design quotations within factory limitations and project guidelines.
• Prepare customer documents, manufacturing documents, and bills of materials.
• Coordinate design activities across a worldwide factory network.
• Participate in internal design concept reviews.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

What you'll need

• 9–12 years of electrical design experience in the power transformer manufacturing industry.
• B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Order Engineering experience.
• Deep understanding of transformer manufacturing.
• Knowledge of transformer electrical design, thermal, dielectrics, short circuit, performance, and mechanics.
• Understanding of IS, IEC, IEEE, and Canadian standards.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Nice to have

• Higher experience than the stated range.
• Simulation or software development experience.
• Team-building and networking skills.
