Senior Engineer for Data Center Mechanical & Thermal, focused on Data Center Thermal Research at Eaton’s Pune innovation office.

What you'll do

• Drive engineering execution for R&D programs in the Data Center portfolio.
• Develop mechanical designs for new product developments and related thermal solutions.
• Perform FEA, testing direction, and documentation for new product designs.
• Use SolidWorks CAD to model, validate (FEA), and draft/document designs.
• Define test plans and produce final drawings, specifications, and PDM production release outputs.
• Support manufacturing process implementation and troubleshoot production to meet specifications.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering with 4–6 years of experience in a technical engineering role.
• Experience relevant to CNC machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and tight tolerance components.
• SolidWorks 2018 or newer preferred for CAD/3D solid modeling.
• Experience with closed-loop refrigeration systems and related thermal/actuation components.
• Ability to develop cooling solutions including CDUs, rear-door heat exchangers & manifolds, hot aisle containment, chillers, and facility water systems.
• Familiarity with experimental mechanics, prototyping, and testing for advanced thermal technologies.
