Senior Engineer – Java backend, AVP

Overview

Senior Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java backend applications and services. The role includes API integration, application reliability, and delivery in an Agile environment.

What you'll do

• Design and develop Java-based engineering solutions.
• Build and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Integrate APIs and optimize applications across platforms.
• Build reliability, resiliency, maintainability, and reusability into solutions.
• Implement Camunda workflow designs and solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver software.
• Apply testing and review throughout the delivery lifecycle.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of hands-on experience implementing applications with Java and React.
• Hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Hibernate or Spring Data JPA.
• Experience with Spring Security and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of SQL/PLSQL databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ messaging streams.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience building large-scale, low-latency distributed applications.
• Knowledge of GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and GKE.
• Experience managing container platforms such as Docker.
