Senior ITRS Monitoring & Observability Specialist - Senior Vice President

Overview

Senior ITRS Monitoring & Observability Specialist (Senior Vice President) for the Monitoring and Observability team, owning and supporting ITRS Geneos and ITRS Analytics platforms and providing L2 production support.

What you'll do

• Administer and support the enterprise ITRS Geneos environment and its components.
• Design, configure, and maintain monitoring solutions and monitoring artifacts (rules, samplers, dashboards, alerts, data views).
• Lead onboarding of applications into ITRS Analytics, including data pipelines, dashboards, visualizations, and reporting.
• Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex monitoring and observability incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Develop scripts and automation to streamline monitoring provisioning, deployment, and maintenance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to L2 team members and develop operational documentation.

What you'll need

• At least 10 years of experience in IT and 7+ years supporting enterprise monitoring and observability platforms.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with ITRS Geneos administration and support.
• Experience implementing and supporting ITRS Analytics solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in production environments.
• Experience supporting Linux/Unix and Windows platforms.
• Scripting experience with Python, Shell, PowerShell, or equivalent automation tools.
• Knowledge of monitoring integrations, APIs, middleware, databases, messaging technologies, and cloud platforms.
