Overview
Senior Manager Software Engineering leads teams building software products for on-prem and SaaS offerings, focused on distributed and scalable systems.
What you'll do
- Inspire, motivate, lead, and manage a team of developers designing and developing innovative products.
- Own product end-to-end from requirements with internal stakeholders through build, test, and deploy.
- Drive software development quality through thought leadership, innovation, and accelerated delivery.
- Mentor, lead, and grow leaders in the team and set clear goals.
- Collaborate with product management, program management, sales, QA, and support to deliver products and roadmap.
- Understand market dynamics to drive product direction and team execution.
What you'll need
- 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience planning, architecting, and delivering high-quality products.
- 5+ years of building, managing, or leading high-performance development teams.
- Knowledge of agile/scrum methodologies.
- Previous experience building highly scalable distributed systems.
- Hands-on coding & design skills.
- BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science or a relevant technical field.
- Domain expertise in areas such as distributed systems, platform, storage, data management products, data pipelines/ETL, virtualization, Kubernetes, and AI SDLC.

- Work mode: In-Office (2-3 days a week based on commuting expectations).
- Location: Pune, India.
