Senior Mechanical Engineer- Infrastructure (Water/ Wastewater)

Overview

Senior Mechanical Engineer (Infrastructure) focused on water and wastewater pumping station design, including hydraulic modeling and surge analysis. You will handle design calculations and equipment/layout tasks using BIM and modeling tools.

What you'll do

• Design pumping stations for sewage, storm water, irrigation, potable water, and firefighting.
• Perform pipe sizing, valve sizing, and pump selection with head calculations.
• Carry out wet well sizing and valve/flow meter chamber design.
• Plan mechanical equipment and piping layout arrangements.
• Support hydraulic modeling and surge analysis for pumping systems.
• Handle HVAC sizing, lifting equipment, and filter selection.

What you'll need

• 5–10 years of experience in pumping station design for water/wastewater applications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Expertise with Bentley WaterGEMS/Hammer for hydraulic modeling and surge analysis.
• Familiarity with ANSI/HI standards for hydraulic institutions.
• Experience in infrastructure projects and consulting firm work.
• BIM experience is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge in District Cooling Plants (DCP) and/or surge analysis.
• Middle East/Gulf experience.
• Knowledge in water/sewage treatment works.
• Experience with international applicable standards for relevant authorities (e.g., NWC, Ammana, SBC, KSA Civil Defense mentioned).
