Junior Design Engineer (Water Supply)

Overview

Junior Design Engineer (Water Supply) for hydraulic design and analysis of rural drinking water supply systems, from source to service delivery.

What you'll do

• Undertake hydraulic design and analysis for rural drinking water supply systems.
• Develop and review hydraulic models for transmission and distribution networks.
• Determine design flows, pipe diameters, pumping requirements, storage capacities, and pressure zones.
• Conduct surge analysis and recommend surge protection measures.
• Review designs, drawings, calculations, and contractor submissions for technical compliance.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and pipeline teams for integrated delivery.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing, commissioning, and performance verification.

What you'll need

• Experience includes hydraulic design and analysis of rural drinking water supply systems (as stated).
• Ability to develop/review hydraulic models for transmission and distribution networks (as stated).
• Capability to perform design calculations for flows, diameters, pumping, storage, and pressure zones (as stated).
• Ability to carry out surge analysis and recommend protection measures (as stated).
