Overview

Senior/Principal Engineer for tunnel and underground structures, responsible for engineering design and deliverable quality for bored tunnel projects.

What you'll do

• Carry out design for tunnels and underground structures using Eurocodes and other international standards.
• Lead drawing production and review CAD technician work to maintain deliverable quality.
• Coordinate with colleagues in the wider tunnels group to ensure seamless design delivery.
• Support planning and follow-up of schedules and budgets for works.

What you'll need

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering and ME/M.Tech or MSc in Structural or Tunnel Engineering.
• 6–10 years of experience in detailed design of bored tunnel structures.
• Hands-on experience in bored tunnel segmental lining (TBM) design.
• Understanding of TBM tunnel operation and ground-structure interaction, with closed form solutions and numerical modelling (SOFiSTiK desirable).
• Hands-on finite element analysis and design software experience, preferably LUSAS or SOFiSTiK.
• Teamwork and coordination skills to collaborate with team members and project managers.
