Senior Quality Engineer

Overview

Senior Quality Engineer responsible for creating and executing product test plans to ensure quality against design specifications. Owns quality across a cloud-native SaaS platform and builds test automation integrated into CI/CD.

What you'll do

• Create and execute product test plans to meet design and quality standards.
• Design and build an automation framework for a cloud-native SaaS platform.
• Enforce quality gates in CI/CD and integrate Playwright into pipelines.
• Work with engineers from requirements through release to shift quality left.
• Maintain CI quality gates like flaky test management, coverage thresholds, and regression baselines.
• Define and maintain a test pyramid (unit, integration, E2E, and contract) for complex features.
• Feed defect patterns back into development via root-cause analysis.

What you'll need

• Playwright experience, including end-to-end test authoring, page object model, fixtures, network interception, and multi-browser execution.
• TypeScript proficiency for maintainable, typed test code.
• API testing skills including REST endpoint validation, contract testing, and response schema assertions.
• CI/CD integration experience by plugging Playwright into pipelines with parallelisation, reporting, and failure triage.
• Selenium experience as a fallback, including migrating legacy Selenium suites to Playwright.
• API and backend testing knowledge including Java testing with JUnit 5, Mockito, and Spring Boot integration tests (@SpringBootTest, MockMvc).
• Database validation with Oracle and ability to assert persistence outcomes.
