Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer (remote, Canada) to build full-stack, AI-powered products and own technically complex, mission-critical problem spaces end to end.

What you'll do

• Take ownership of technically complex, mission-critical areas and drive them forward.
• Define and drive technical strategy for new products and platform capabilities across backend services, APIs, and customer-facing UI.
• Design and ship full-stack features end to end, working across backend, frontend, and potentially mobile.
• Partner with product, design, and customer-facing teams to convert ambiguous operational problems into technical plans and measurable outcomes.
• Build and scale systems behind AI-driven products, including data ingestion, APIs, and operator workflows.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews, design reviews, technical mentorship, and quality/craft expectations.
• Champion and embed company cultural principles as the company scales.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience in software design and development, including building and operating production systems at scale.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong full-stack fundamentals across backend services, APIs, and frontend (web or mobile).
• Proficiency in modern languages/frameworks including Go, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, or similar.
• Experience leading cross-team or cross-org projects from inception through rollout under ambiguity.
• Demonstrated experience building AI-powered or data-driven products.
• Strong communication skills bridging technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Annual base salary range: $142,800–$184,800 CAD.
