Senior Software Engineer - Developer Productivity

Overview

Senior Software Engineer on the Platform Ops team, focused on developer productivity through tooling, environments, and observability improvements.

What you'll do

• Build and improve developer tooling and internal developer environments.
• Create self-serve workflows and reusable platform capabilities for shipping changes.
• Develop AI-based workflows to improve productivity and infrastructure operations.
• Improve observability with metrics, logs, and traces to speed diagnosis.
• Automate engineering workflows such as scaffolding, environment setup, releases, and runbooks.
• Integrate tools into existing workflows using CLI, Slack, GitHub, and dashboards.
• Participate in on-call/incident response as needed and drive follow-up automation.

What you'll need

• Professional software engineering experience in Python and/or Go.
• Experience building developer productivity tooling (CI systems, build tooling, developer portals, workflow automation).
• Experience with at least one cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong fundamentals in testing, code review, debugging, and operating production services.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-team environment.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes experience.
• Infrastructure-as-code using Terraform/OpenTofu, including reusable modules and safe state management.
