Senior Solutions Engineer II, Payments, EMEA

Overview

Senior Solutions Engineer II supporting Payments and Enterprises opportunities in EMEA, leading technical solutioning across the customer lifecycle and partnering with Business Development, Product, Engineering and Client Success teams.

What you'll do

• Lead technical strategy and solution architecture for Payments and Enterprises opportunities with Business Development.
• Conduct technical discovery sessions to identify client requirements, regulatory considerations and integration constraints.
• Design and present scalable solution architectures, including APIs, transaction flows, custody models and settlement processes.
• Develop proof-of-concepts, implementation plans and technical validation frameworks to support enterprise decision-making.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to identify product gaps, influence prioritisation and improve integration experiences.
• Support post-sale implementations with Partnership Management, ensuring technical delivery aligns with architectural design and customer objectives.
• Represent Circle externally at industry events, technical workshops and client engagements, and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and global Solutions Engineering initiatives.
• Create and sustain an internal knowledge repository about existing and forthcoming products.
• Support the Global Solutions Engineering team with internal projects.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience from roles like Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect or Product Manager.
• Experience preferably with Payments, FinTech, B2B SaaS or Web3 and blockchain infrastructure.
• Ability to translate complexity into simplicity.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills, in one-on-one discussions and when presenting to larger teams.
• Problem-solving approach combining logic and creativity.
• Recognised client-centric approach and a dependable partner for sales, client success and product/tech teams.
• History of successfully designing and validating technical solutions, especially for large enterprises.
• Hands-on experience with API testing, database querying and sketching technical flows.
• Proven track record of working alongside developers on SaaS product integration and development.
• Entrepreneurial drive and collaboration, valuing fast-paced environments and building strong relationships.

Nice to have

• Experience managing a team.
• Ability to work in tandem with multiple departments.
• Experience working with blockchain infrastructure, stablecoins, tokenized assets or digital custody solutions.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations relevant to the EMEA payments industry.

Details

• Location: London, remote first in UK.
• Regular travel of up to 25% to external events and to meet partners and customers across the EMEA region.
