Senior Systems Engineer (Austria)

Overview

Lead pre-sales systems engineering for government and enterprise customers in Austria. Design, architect, and support secure data foundation solutions involving enterprise storage, cloud, networking, and related technologies.

What you'll do

• Connect technology solutions to measurable customer business outcomes.
• Partner with account managers, specialists, and channel partners on customer strategy.
• Lead evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations.
• Deliver technical product and architecture presentations.
• Translate customer requirements into innovative solutions.
• Author responses to RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
• Track competitors, market trends, and solution positioning.

What you'll need

• At least 5 years of relevant technology, design, and communications experience.
• Pre-sales experience.
• Knowledge of enterprise storage, distributed storage architectures, and file systems.
• Knowledge of Linux, NFS, SAN, NAS, FC, and iSCSI.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architecture, public cloud, containers, and provisioning automation.
• Knowledge of VMware, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
• Fluency in German and English.

Nice to have

• Experience selling enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architectures.
• Experience with storage-intensive applications such as SQL and Oracle databases.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or another technical field, or equivalent experience.
