Software Engineer 6 - Ads Account Foundations

Overview

Software Engineer for Netflix Ads “Account Foundations,” responsible for core systems that define advertiser accounts, enrich account intelligence, automate cohort/verification, and support spend attribution.

What you'll do

• Rebuild the account data model to represent advertiser/agency structures with governance enforced.
• Build enrichment to identify advertisers, their spend, and validate internal data vs reality.
• Automate cohort assignment and identity verification currently performed manually.
• Develop an automated attribution engine mapping DSP programmatic spend to advertisers, agencies, and ad accounts.
• Support creation of externalized APIs enabling advertisers and agencies to view and manage accounts.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience building cloud-based applications with modern programming languages.
• 4+ years of experience in Ads domain on demand side systems.
• Broad knowledge of ad tech, programmatic advertising, and digital marketing trends.
• Experience building multi-tenant, API-first services using REST/GraphQL and spec-driven design (OpenAPI, Avro, Protobuf).
• Familiarity with API Gateway patterns for authentication, authorization, rate limiting, load shedding, and ingress control.
• Operational excellence experience with customer-facing APIs including SLO tracking, incident management, and observability tooling.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
