Software Engineer II, Model Platform

Overview

Software Engineer II for Abnormal AI’s Detection team, focused on building Model Platform systems for model serving and related data processing.

What you'll do

• Architect, design, build, deploy, and maintain Model Serving infrastructure using industry-standard AI tools.
• Scale model serving and data processing services to support 10x the current traffic.
• Own real-time and near real-time streaming pipelines.
• Own online feature serving services.
• Collaborate with MLE and Data Science teams by translating feedback into execution.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer (or similar), with hands-on data-focused solutions.
• Proficiency using AI tools to accelerate discovery, design, implementation, and rollout of software systems.
• Experience maintaining large-scale distributed systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure, with cloud best practices.
• Experience with real-time and near real-time data pipelines or streaming services.
• Strong computer science fundamentals including data structures and performance optimization.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, or related engineering.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, Python/Django, Golang, and Postgres.
• Experience building scalable, enterprise-grade applications.
• Experience with web security (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
• Familiarity with AI development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude.
