Software Engineer (L4)

Overview

Software Engineer (L4) to build and deliver Voice and Video functionality through Twilio’s Android SDKs.

What you'll do

• Own the Android SDK architecture, implementation, and long-term technical direction.
• Lead the Android SDKs’ technical backlog and architectural roadmap.
• Drive development and maintenance of the Android Voice and Video SDKs, including the WebRTC/ReSiprocate/C++ layer.
• Improve build pipeline stability and participate in CI/CD migration efforts.
• Conduct thorough code reviews focused on quality, correctness, and test coverage.
• Monitor and triage customer and Git repository issues.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on Android development.
• Deep expertise in Android ecosystem and SDK development.
• Proficiency in Java/Kotlin in addition to C++.
• Familiarity with CI/CD systems and mobile build pipelines (CircleCI, Buildkite, or GitHub Actions).
• Strong communication skills to articulate technical decisions and trade-offs.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.
