Software Engineer/ Senior Software Engineer- Data Science (Search and Match)

Overview

Software Engineer / Senior Software Engineer (Data Science) focused on search and match initiatives using predictive modeling and NLP.

What you'll do

• Work on data science projects involving predictive modeling, NLP, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
• Use user data sets to perform research, develop models, and create data products with Development and Product teams.
• Build novel, scalable data systems leveraging machine learning to enhance user experience.
• Collaborate with system architects and other teams to deliver insights and recommendations.
• Apply machine learning and data tools such as Python and SQL as part of the Data Science team’s work.

What you'll need

• 4.5+ years of experience for the Senior Software Engineer role.
• Knowledge of statistical and machine learning algorithms including regression, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, deep learning, and ensemble methods.
• Expert knowledge in Python.
• Practical LLM/RAG experience for search quality (query understanding, semantic retrieval, reranker design).
• Experience with prompt optimization frameworks such as LangChain or CrewAI.
• Experience with Solr/OpenSearch/Elasticsearch and embedding/vector search.
• Experience with fine-tuning LLMs and building/optimizing classifiers (feature selection, classifiers).
• Experience with backend technologies such as Flask/Gunicorn and open-source NLP/deep learning libraries like spaCy, NLTK, Gensim, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
