Software Engineering Lead

Overview

Hands-on Software Engineering Lead responsible for leading a cross-functional team to deliver defined products and services, combining technical leadership, delivery ownership, and people management.

What you'll do

• Lead engineering outcomes including quality, reliability, security, compliance, cost, and speed.
• Set technical direction and provide architectural and structural oversight for designs.
• Own delivery outcomes using metrics such as cycle time, lead time, escaped defects, and change failure rate.
• Manage planning, capacity, and dependencies to keep delivery plans feasible and transparent.
• Proactively surface risks and define mitigations, including managing external dependencies and vendor/partner engagement.
• Ensure operational excellence including release readiness/rollback plans and minimal-downtime deployments.
• Drive incident response and blameless post-incident reviews with actionable follow-ups.

What you'll need

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead / Lead Engineer delivering software at scale.
• Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams through the full SDLC to production.
• Strong organizational and project planning, time management, and change management skills across functions.
• Advanced problem solving and ability to lead/co-ordinate people across teams for complex issue diagnosis.
• Advanced knowledge of agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, XP, Pair programming, DevSecOps).
• Strong knowledge of security practices including OWASP Top 10 and SAST/DAST.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
