Overview

Data Protection (Backup and Recovery) Engineer for the Hyderabad location, focused on designing and running backup/recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, implement, and manage backup and recovery solutions.
• Automate backup and recovery processes to reduce manual intervention.
• Build self-service features for customer backup and recovery tasks via API.
• Optimize backup processes to meet established schedules and policies.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and proactively address backup and recovery operational blockers.
• Conduct regular testing of backup and recovery processes for effectiveness and compliance.

What you'll need

• Minimum 4 years of experience in backup and recovery engineering or a related field.
• Experience with Cohesity, AWS backups, Azure backups, PPDM, RMAN, BRTools, and familiarity with Commvault and Rubrik.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD and automation tools, including Ansible Tower and GitHub Actions.
• Advanced scripting experience, preferably Python and PowerShell, plus API-based automations via Ansible and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with agile frameworks using Jira and Confluence as primary trackers.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms specifically AWS and Azure for backup and recovery.
• In-depth experience with Dell Data Domain storage systems.
