Specialist, Engineering Services

Overview

As a Specialist, Engineering Services in Project and Development Services, you’ll work closely with the project manager or senior project manager to drive project success, take ownership of small projects, and support major projects.

What you'll do

• Take ownership of small projects and provide support to major projects.
• Explore ways to bring out the best in the team and strive to ensure optimal outcomes for all stakeholders.
• Manage the organisational structure for each project.
• Streamline project reporting, communication and working procedures.
• Ensure that every project has clear objectives.
• Attend project meetings.
• Create project-related reports, analyses and reviews.
• Forecast project expenditure and ensure effective management of project budgets.
• Maintain strong and positive relationships with clients by identifying their needs, requirements and constraints.
• Look for opportunities to introduce potential prospects to other business lines at JLL and build relationships with clients.
• Manage project revenue and payment cycles to avoid bad debt.
• Manage professional consultants necessary for project design and documentation.
• Carry out contract administration of all vendors professionally and in accordance with legal requirements to protect the commercial interests of clients and JLL.
• Identify project risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
• Keep health and safety and sustainability front-of-mind.
• Solve problems, improve products or services, find new markets and implement new strategies with a sense of urgency.
• Deal effectively with competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders and see things from their perspective.
• Communicate and collaborate to achieve success.

What you'll need

• A degree in any property-related discipline.
• At least three years of experience in design, construction or project management.
• Help drive the effective use of JLL technology platforms to deliver projects.
• Promote open and constructive relationships with superiors, subordinates, peers and clients.
• Work together and collaborate to achieve goals.
