Specialist - GBS Procurement

Overview

Specialist – GBS Procurement in Chennai to process purchase orders, coordinate with vendors, and support procurement reporting and service levels.

What you'll do

• Issue purchase orders to vendors in a timely manner.
• Follow up for order confirmations and coordinate on-time supplier payments.
• Coordinate with vendors on delivery status of materials.
• Complete open purchase order and shortage reports for review on time.
• Execute core procurement processes efficiently for assigned products.
• Coordinate with internal requestors and suppliers for purchase order changes.
• Select suppliers for new orders based on approved purchasing strategies.
• Manage supplier database and perform root-cause analysis for service issue resolution.

What you'll need

• 3 to 5 years of experience.
• Experience in order processing, supply chain management, order management, and end-to-end procurement (preferred).
• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of ERP.
• Knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Analytical skills and knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (PF).
