Sr Engineer - HW Board design

Overview

Design, optimize, verify, and test advanced electronic hardware systems and circuits for Qualcomm products. Work independently while guiding other engineers and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

What you'll do

• Plan, optimize, verify, and test critical electronic hardware systems and circuits.
• Implement advanced design rules and processes for electronic hardware and integrated circuitry.
• Conduct complex design simulations and analyses for power, performance, and area optimization.
• Collaborate with design, verification, validation, software, systems, and architecture teams.
• Evaluate manufacturing solutions and bring up products to meet customer expectations and schedules.
• Advise engineers on complex hardware designs and identify potential design issues.
• Write and review technical documentation for hardware projects.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of hardware engineering or related experience, or a master's degree and 5+ years, or a PhD and 4+ years.
• Experience with circuit, logic design, or validation.
• Experience using schematic capture and circuit simulation software.
• Experience with hardware design and measurement instruments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to provide guidance to other team members.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• 12+ years of hardware engineering or related experience.
• At least 1 year in a technical leadership role.
