Sr. Manager, Cash Application

Overview

Senior Manager responsible for owning Anthropic’s global cash application function within the Invoice to Cash (I2C) organization, operating it with minimal oversight while scaling through automation and data-driven controls.

What you'll do

• Own daily global cash application operations, team output, systems, controls, and reporting.
• Build and lead a small team focused on exception handling and predictable, efficient processing.
• Drive the cash application automation roadmap (auto-match, remittance parsing, exception routing, automated ERP posting).
• Operate the AR automation platform for cash application and partner on matching rules, feeds, and ERP integration.
• Define, track, and report KPIs and SLAs (application rates, unapplied cash, exception resolution time, posting accuracy, auto-match rate).
• Run root-cause initiatives for unapplied/misapplied/unidentified cash and implement upstream fixes across partners.

What you'll need

• Experience managing a cash application or accounts receivable operations team (hiring, coaching, managing performance).
• Hands-on experience scaling cash application/AR through transaction growth with limited headcount change and delivered process/automation improvements.
• Experience implementing or optimizing a cash application or AR automation platform with measurable improvements.
• Experience defining and reporting KPIs/SLAs to run the team day to day.
• Deep knowledge of end-to-end cash application across wires, ACH, credit card, and lockbox.
• Experience maintaining cash application procedures and internal controls and working with auditors.
• Hands-on ERP experience such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP, plus strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.

Details

• Hybrid work policy: expected to be in one of the offices at least 25% of the time.
• Reporting line: reports to the Head of Invoice to Cash.
• Location/visa: visa sponsorship is available and they retain an immigration lawyer.
