Sr Principal Engineer, MCU Architect

Overview

Sr Principal Engineer responsible for SOC/MCU architecture and detailed technical specifications, ensuring product compliance through verification, validation, characterization, and testing.

What you'll do

• Drive SOC/MCU architecture definition and detailed technical specifications from product requirements.
• Own and deliver chip implementation that meets KPI and product requirements, including specification compliance.
• Ensure coverage across verification, validation, characterization, and test, then review outcomes for compliance.
• Drive paradigm shifts in SOC/MCU execution, including team structures, tool usage, and methods/processes for tape-out quality.
• Make IP selection and make/buy decisions.
• Coordinate change across the organization by working with peers on common methods.
• Engage external stakeholders including suppliers and participation in technical conferences/standards.

What you'll need

• 18+ years of experience leading NPI product development, technology, and teams.
• System and architecture-level background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Advance technology node understanding and tapeout experience.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standard tools and methodology.
• Strong communication, problem solving, teamwork, attention to detail, and quality focus.
• Presentation and negotiation skills to influence direction taken.
• Ability to coordinate work across cross-functional, highly experienced global teams.
