Overview
Senior Security Engineer for Enterprise Security, owning day-to-day operation of the Samsara zero trust security environment.
What you’ll do
- Co-own day-to-day operation, triage, and tuning of the Samsara zero trust environment by responding to escalations and investigating anomalies.
- Continuously improve zero trust policies and workflows using usage patterns and incident learnings.
- Write clear documentation and runbooks for enterprise security workflows.
- Collaborate with Engineering, IT, and Security to ensure proper implementation of security tools and policies.
- Assist the Security Operations team during investigations as a technical subject matter expert.
- Partner with engineering teams to triage and support remediation of vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
- Mentor security engineers and embed security-related cultural principles.
What you’ll need
- 5+ years of relevant experience in an Enterprise Security role.
- Hands-on experience operating and maintaining a zero trust / SASE platform at enterprise scale.
- Exposure to an additional enterprise security tool stack beyond zero trust (e.g., EDR, email security, DLP, or IAM).
- Automation mindset with experience scripting/debugging code with Python and using SOAR platforms.
- Ability to independently evaluate security challenges by severity and business impact.
- Residency in the Pacific or Hawaii time zone.
Details
- Role is remote and open to candidates residing in California, Hawaii, Oregon, Nevada, and Washington.
- Annual base salary range: $135,481.50–$227,700 USD.
- On-call rotation for highest severity incidents is one week out of every ten.
