Sr.Staff Software Engineer- Network Platform

Overview

Senior Staff Software Engineer for Databricks Networking Infrastructure, focusing on large-scale network connectivity and observability services for multi-cloud VM management.

What you'll do

• Design large-scale connectivity platforms between Databricks control plane and compute plane.
• Own and drive architecture for next-generation network connectivity and observability services.
• Set org-wide technical direction and lead complex cross-team initiatives.
• Mentor senior engineers and provide hands-on technical leadership.
• Work with product management, operations, and partner engineering to deliver durable networking systems.
• Translate long-term business goals into extensible networking infrastructure.

What you'll need

• 15+ years of production-level experience in Rust, Java, Scala, C++, or a similar language.
• 10+ years of experience developing large-scale distributed systems from scratch.
• Experience developing SaaS platforms or working with service-oriented architectures.
• Experience with cloud networking and Kubernetes.
• Experience with infrastructure automation languages such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
