Staff Engineer - PCB Design

Overview

Staff Engineer - PCB Design to lead PCB design and development for storage-related hardware, ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.

What you'll do

• Design and develop SSD drive PCB layouts and multiple form-factor PCBs (EDSFF, U.2) and daughter cards.
• Handle high-speed PCB layout work including HDI technology and relevant signal/interface placement and routing considerations.
• Engineer power delivery network routing using PMIC devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve PCB design and manufacturing issues.
• Ensure designs comply with IPC and regulatory requirements (UL, IEC).
• Maintain documentation of PCB designs, modifications, and testing procedures.
• Collaborate with hardware, simulation (SI/PI), and mechanical engineering teams to integrate PCBs into systems.

What you'll need

• Minimum 12 years of experience in PCB design & development as an individual contributor.
• Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in PCB design software (Cadence Allegro).
• Strong understanding of electronic circuits and HDI stack-up and via technologies.
• Experience with DDR4/DDR5, PCIe4/5/6, ONFI4.0/ONFI5.0, SMBus, and I2C placement/routing considerations.
• Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA constraints.
• Hands-on experience in valor and Cam350 is preferred; AI-enabled workflow usage is required.
