Overview

Staff Engineer, Software providing technical leadership and architectural guidance while developing software solutions for industrial and scientific use cases.

What you'll do

• Architect, design, develop, and deliver scalable, secure, maintainable software solutions.
• Build reusable components including backend services, REST APIs, integration layers, data pipelines, and libraries.
• Integrate software applications with equipment and industrial systems using industrial communication technologies.
• Design end-to-end solutions for acquisition, processing, storage, visualization, and analysis of time-series data.
• Drive software engineering best practices across code reviews, automated testing, source control, CI/CD, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure cybersecurity, data integrity, validation, software quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify and implement AI/ML and advanced analytics opportunities for monitoring and predictive capabilities.

What you'll need

• 9–14 years of relevant software engineering and related experience.
• Hands-on development experience in C#, .NET, Java, or Python.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, object-oriented design, design patterns, multithreading, networking, and scalable application design.
• Experience building backend services, REST APIs, and data pipelines using relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Working knowledge of PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMI, historians, MES, and industrial protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, or MQTT.
• Experience with automated testing, source control, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
