Staff NPU STA/Timing Engineer

Overview

Staff NPU STA/Timing Engineer role focused on static timing analysis setup, timing convergence, validation/debug across operating conditions, and STA/PD automation for hardware designs.

What you'll do

• Set up STA and manage convergence reviews and signoff for multi-mode, multi-voltage domain designs.
• Perform timing analysis, validation, and debug across multiple PVT conditions using PT/Tempus.
• Run PrimeTime and/or Tempus for STA flow optimization and perform Spice-to-STA correlation.
• Evaluate different timing methodologies/tools across designs and technology nodes.
• Develop automation scripts within STA/PD tools for methodology development.
• Work on methodology and technical documentation with good communication skills.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of hardware engineering work experience (or equivalent degrees/years as stated).
• Experience in design automation using TCL/Perl/Python.
• Familiarity with digital flow RTL-to-GDS tools including ICC and Innovus and STA tools PT/Tempus.
• Knowledge of process technology enablement including Hspice/FineSim and Monte Carlo.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills for cross-collaborative environments.
